We will guide you to admire the Baptistery, the Duomo-Cathedral, Dante's home, Bargello Palace and Piazza della Signoria. You will also enjoy the sight of Palazzo Vecchio, a remarkable example of civil architecture. Here you will discover an open air museum with various masterpieces including the copy of Michelangelo's David, right in front of Palazzo Vecchio. Then we will pass through the wings of the Uffizi Gallery. Following the Arno River, we will walk towards Ponte Vecchio and its gold jewelry shops and we will see part of the other side of the river.

Palazzo Pitti
The majestic Palazzo Pitti was built by the merchant Luca Pitti as an effective demonstration of his wealth and power to his rivals the Medici. In 1549, when the palace was bought by Eleanor of Toledo, wife of Cosimo I, its magnificence was increased and the beautiful Boboli Gardens were laid out behind it. It became the official seat of the Medici dynasty of grand dukes after Cosimo I moved here from Palazzo Vecchio.
