Overview

A full-day excursion to discover one of the most charming places in Italy, an authentic earthly paradise suspended between land and sea, the Cinque Terre National Park. You will leave Florence very early in the morning, in a comfortable bus and pampered by the attention of your expert tour leader, which will be dedicated to you all day. Visit Manarola, Vernazza, Riomaggiore and Corniglia and follow your tour leader on a 3 hour hiking tour above the 5 Terre National Park: the trekking route will allow you to fully enjoy the beauty of nature that characterizes this fascinating region. You will have the sea on one side and on the other vineyards cultivated by locals.
Once the hiking part is over, you will reach the other villages by train, and you will have free time to admire the pastel colored houses leaning one against the other on the tiny ports facing the crystal clear waters of the Ligurian Sea.

What To Expect

Florence
Prepare for a journey to the most colorful coastline in Italy - Cinque Terre! Meet your tour guide at Piazzale Montelungo Bus Terminal early in the morning. Piazzale Montelungo is located 5-10 minutes walking distance from Santa Maria Novella train station. Find your seat on the comfortable coach bus, sit and relax, and prepare to depart for your journey to the nearby coastline! The drive to Cinque Terre will take about two hours, and your guide will share some useful and interesting information about Cinque Terre before arrival. If you have any questions, your guide will be there to assist you!

Stazione La Spezia Centrale
The bus will arrive in La Spezia, the closest city to Cinque Terre. Here, you will be dropped off at the train station. Your guide will lead you through the small train station, and your group will get on the first train to Manarola. The train takes about ten minutes, and then you will arrive in the stunning coastal town!

Manarola
As you exit the train station, you will immediately be greeted by breathtaking views of this ancient fishing village and its brightly colored homes! You will have about an hour of free time to explore Manarola independently. Marvel at the views of its sparkling blue sea, the impeccable homes stacked upon each other, and the green grapevines towering in the distance. Your guide will happily point out the best viewpoints for photos - Manarola is very famous on Instagram, its views are incomparable!

Cinque Terre Trails
After relaxing and discovering Manarola, your day’s adventure will begin! Follow your guide to the hiking trail, and you will begin your picturesque journey to the hilltop town of Corniglia. The towns of Cinque Terre are built on cliffs, so you can expect some steep steps and uphill walks; however, the unforgettable views of the lush landscape and bright, cobalt-blue sea make this hike absolutely worthwhile!

Your guide will lead you through the striking cliffs and elaborate trails, surrounded by ancient homes and vibrant vineyards. As you hike, you can feel the sea breeze on your skin and smell the fresh grapes sprouting around you. The walk and its incredible views will last for about three hours, with plenty of time to make stops for photo breaks. Cinque Terre has been known throughout history as the “Bay of Poets,” for its inspirational views. On this hike, you will discover the origin of its beauty as the poetic landscape comes to life!

Corniglia
Towards the end of the three hour hike, you will see a tiny, colorful village in the distance - Corniglia. The views from above are spectacular - you can see the brightly colored homes completely surrounded by the blue sea. Follow your guide to the town, and you will have about an hour to independently explore Corniglia. Being the only town without direct access from the sea, Corniglia is a much quieter place, with less tourists. Enjoy some tranquil sightseeing, indulge in some pesto pasta or seafood, and take in more of the seemingly endless magical views! Then, meet back with your guide and head to the train station to quickly travel to your next destination - Vernazza!

Vernazza
The train to Vernazza will take less than ten minutes, and then you will have about an hour of free time in this lovely waterfront town. Make your way through the beachy streets to the small, picturesque harbor, also called "the Pearl of Cinque Terre." You will find Italian children playing in the sea, fishermen returning on their small blue boats, and plenty of people tanning under the strong, Mediterranean sun. Enjoy the famous views of Vernazza's emerald water and colorful homes. Spend some time strolling through the ancient streets and their tempting smell of fresh focaccia and pesto. Riomaggiore
Meet back with your guide to take a train to your last destination of the day - Riomaggiore. After a ten minute train ride, you will be welcomed by another town filled with brightly colored homes, unbelievably stacked on the imposing cliffs. Enjoy about an hour of free time to explore the picturesque alleyways, purchase any last-minute artisanal souvenirs, and admire the lovely views. When it is time to depart, you will see the sun starting to settle and what seems like gold flakes over the sea, as small boats pull into the port after their days at sea.
