Overview

On this tour you visit the most important of Florence’s piazzas and landmarks as well as two of its most celebrated exhibition centers. We begin on the north of the city with a visit to the Accademia Gallery and the Duomo with its famous Bell Tower and Baptistery. Following a break for lunch we continue to Piazza della Signoria with its wonderful display of Renaissance statues, followed by a visit to the Uffizi Gallery that houses a number of famous masterpieces; Botticelli’s’ “The Birth of Venue”, Leonardo da Vinci’s “Annunciation” and Michelangelo’s “Holy Family” to name a few. Meet your guide in Piazza della Signoria, Political centre of the city. From there you'll walk to the near Uffizi gallery for your morning visit to the museum.

Then it is on to one of Florence’s most famous landmarks: the Ponte Vecchio, the city’s oldest bridge. The bridge offers panoramic views of the hills that surround Florence, perfect for a photo. Your guide will recount the bridge’s rich history, including
how the Vasari Corridor radically changed the botteghe (shops) that line the bridge.
