The exterior view of the Cupola is a showstopper, but the only way to see the inside of the dome up close and enjoy the extraordinary sight of Florence is to climb its 463 steps (there is no elevator).

The Galleria dell'Accademia di Firenze, or "Gallery of the Academy of Florence", is an art museum in Florence, Italy and is best known as the home of Michelangelo's sculpture David. It also has other sculptures by Michelangelo and an extensive collection of paintings by Florentine artists, mainly from the period 1300-1600, the Trecento to the Late Renaissance.
