You will meet your guide in Santa Maria Novella, a square refined by the stunning fourteenth-century façade, made in polychrome marble, of the homonymous church.

Duomo - Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore
We will move then to Piazza Duomo, with the monumental complex of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, crowned by the magnificent Brunelleschi’s dome, the Baptistery of San Giovanni (a magnificent example of the Florentine Romanesque style) and Giotto’s Bell Tower.

Church and Museum of Orsanmichele
Follow us at Orsanmichele, one of the oldest churches in Florence, famous for its 14 tabernacles decorated between 1400 and 1500 by the main Florentine guilds, each containing a statue representing the patron saint of the latter.

In front of Palazzo Vecchio a copy of Michelangelo’s David rises, while the Loggia dei Lanzi displays a real open-air sculpture museum, showing masterpieces like Benvenuto Cellini’s Perseus.

Our walking tour will end in Piazza Santa Croce which owes its name to the homonymous church, one of the biggest Franciscan church in the whole word, frescoed by Giotto, where the remains of the greatest Italian artists are kept, from Michelangelo to Galileo, from Machiavelli to Rossini.
