Overview

A fantastic experience traveling between the Chianti hills and the Etruscan city of Volterra with a half day private tour.
• Meet your driver at the meeting point and start your experience.
• We'll drive through the wonderful Tuscan countryside up to Volterra. Volterra is a hilly city and ancient Etruscan capital
• In Volterra you will be able to see its Baptistery and the famous Piazza dei Priori with the ancient Government Palace. The tour continues with the view of the Roman theater and the Etruscan Arch of the 4th century BC
• Afterwards we will leave for the winery-farm, through vineyards, cypresses and olive groves. We will stop at scenic spots to take photos.
• Once at the winery, I will begin the visit of the cellars and the wine tasting experience.
• After an explanation on the production of the wines you will taste 3 Chianti Gallo Nero and the white wine named Vernaccia.

You can choose between two daily departures, one in the morning at 8.30
one in the afternoon at 15.00.

What To Expect

After meeting your driver at the meeting point, you will leave towards Siena, along the road that crosses the Chianti region. You will discover the typical Tuscan countryside, full of olive trees, rows of cypresses and vineyards.
You will arrive in Volterra after an hour (free tour of the town)
Volterra is a beautiful walled city in Tuscany, built on the top of a hill. The town is built over one of the Twelve Cities of the ancient Etruscan civilisation and has some of the original gates from that era still standing along with a dedicated museum packed with Etruscan and Roman relics. The most interesting things to visit are: The ancient Roman theater The octagonal Baptistery and the Duomo The “Palazzo dei Priori” in the main square. The Etruscan arch of the 4th century BC Volterra is also known for its alabaster and salt quarries.

We will stop at the best viewpoints to take pictures
