Meet your host at Mercato Centrale market - a large, covered market housed in a historic 1874 Art Deco glass structure that sells meat, seafood, charcuterie, fruits and vegetables. It’s the central market of Florence and one of the most interesting and colorful markets of Europe. Walk around, explore local and regional produce sold by your host's favored vendors, and purchase a few ingredients to use during your cooking class after the tour.

Back home, join your host in the kitchen of his Florence apartment to learn to cook a regional Florentine meal from recipes that he has perfected over the years in a casual atmosphere! Your cooking lesson will last about two hours, and you will prepare three different dishes from scratch before you sit down at the table to share the meal you helped prepare.
