Sangimignano is a medieval town in the tuscan countryside that reminds Manhattan because of its 14 ancient towers built in the middle age by the major families. It originally had 72 towers most of which were pulled down. This area is also famous for the production of a white wine named Vernaccia di Sangimignano and a very high quality saffron.
