Overview

Flavors and smells are memories that we will always bring with us. That’s what we offer, an unforgettable experience around the Tastes of Tuscany. Following our expert local guide off the beaten path of Chianti, you will discover our local products and people behind those. We start the tour visiting a cheese farm, from the barn through all the steps of the production that will end up in our plates. Something special will then follow, as we will be attending to a proper tasting of Extra Virgin Olive Oil. You will be introduced by a local producer to all the characteristics, uses, properties and benefits that this product, so valuable, has to offer. Our journey will continue in the world of wine. We will be kindly hosted by a local family and we will walk around the property and the cellar to find out some of their secrets. The perfect frame for our lunch based on typical Tuscan products paired with their different wines.

What To Expect

Farmhouse La Cipressaia is located about one kilometre away from Panzano in Chianti, along the panoramic road which goes to Volpaia Castle. Once owned by Marchesi Ridomi, it is today property of Giovanni Tolu.
Three nice apartments have been obtained from a wing of the house, carefully restored, with indipendent entrancy, garden, private carpark and swimming pool.
They are furbished in typically tuscan style and have all is needed to spend a wonderful holiday in the quiet of Chianti hills.
From 1960 at Il Sodo Farmhouse and from 1998 at La Cipressaia, Giovanni Tolu produces certified organic cheese, extra-virgin olive oil and honey.
The main italian and international magazines indicate Giovanni Tolu products as the best specialities of the area.
